About
About Dial Codex
Dial Codex documents Citizen watches the way a museum catalogs its collection: one page per reference, with the caliber inside, the family it belongs to, the years it was made and the original brochures it appeared in. Most of what's here comes from collectors who share their watches, scans and research.
Not affiliated with Citizen
Dial Codex is an independent, non-commercial fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Citizen Watch Co., Ltd. or any of its subsidiaries. “Citizen” and the names of Citizen product lines are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only to identify the watches being described.
Contribution guidelines
- Cite your sources. A catalog page, case-back photo or published reference is worth more than memory. Mention where a detail came from in the notes.
- Share only what you have the right to share. Upload your own photos, or scans of printed material you own. Don't upload images copied from auction sites, retailers or other people's posts.
- Unknown is fine. Leave a field blank rather than guess. Pages are flagged “needs verification” until a moderator has checked them against a source.
- Everything is reviewed. Submissions go into a moderation queue and are published once approved. The name you give is credited in the page history; your email is never shown.
Copyright & takedown policy
Brochures and catalogs are shared for research and historical interest. If you hold the rights to material on this site and would like it credited differently or removed, contact the moderators via the correction form (choose “takedown request” in the notes) and it will be handled promptly.
Privacy
The contribution forms collect an optional display name and email address. The email is used only to contact you about your submission and is visible only to moderators.
