Parawater
Citizen's early water-resistant watches, first released in 1959.
The Parawater, released in 1959, is regarded as the first water-resistant Japanese wristwatch and was rated to 50 meters. From 1963 Citizen promoted it with ocean-crossing durability tests in which watches were tethered to buoys and set adrift.
