About
Nicknamed the "Fugu" (pufferfish) by collectors for its chunky case, the NY0040 is an ISO-style automatic diver with a unidirectional bezel, day-date display and a distinctive crown at 8 o'clock, a position kept across the whole Fugu series.
Sources disagree on its exact launch year (early 1990s is commonly cited). Later Fugu models moved to the hacking 8204 caliber.
